Classic Venison Ragù Sauce

€8,10
Availability: In Stock
Strong and intense flavours with a wild taste are the characteristics of the Classic Venison Ragù from Cesarine. 200 g. 2/3 portions.
Quantity:

The Classic Venison Ragù of Casa Cesarine has a pronounced and characteristic wild aroma, compared to the delicacy of the roe venison ragù that you'll also find in our range. As with the other game varieties, the secret lies in the preparation: a perfect marinade with red wine and herbs. This process allows the tender meat to absorb the scents of aromatic herbs such as bay leaves, rosemary and sage.

The cooking process is like the classic ragù sauce we make at home, based on a sauté of celery, carrots and onion, good red wine and a prolonged cooking over a low heat. The result is a robust flavour, for a gorgeous comfort dish.

Thanks to our venison ragù, you don't have to worry about long preparation times in your kitchen, just follow our tips on how to prepare this delicious sauce, and you'll feel like you're in a real Italian home.

The ideal match for our venison ragout is long egg pasta: pappardelle, first of all, are a perfect match for game-based sauces, but also rustiche, rougher and more porous pasta, will capture all the flavours of this sauce. Tagliatelle, the symbolic pasta of the Emilia-Romagna region, are also a great choice.

Our Cesarine cooks have many creative ideas to enjoy the venison ragù in your kitchen: accompany it with a soft polenta to warm up in winter, or use it instead of the traditional Bolognese ragù for a game lasagna. Or, you can serve it on slices of warm bread for a perfect aperitif!
